Careers \ Shipping/Receiving Associate

 

The primary responsibility for the Shipping/Receiving Associate position is to ensure that all products returned from the field are cleaned safely ensuring all parts are cleaned to the best of our ability. In addition, this person will be responsible for inspecting all parts returned from the field. The secondary responsibility for the Shipping/Receiving Associate position is to support the Shipper/Receiver by ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled accurately with the correct product and lot number, right quantities, arrives at the customer’s location as requested and in good condition. In addition, this person is to provide support in verifying the part number and quantity of incoming material and input the material into the ERP system. This person is responsible for maintaining an efficient, clean and well-organized warehouse and cleaning room maintaining compliance of product in both the warehouse and cleaning room. This role is also responsible for assisting in the inventory counting process, as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Clean all required product returned from the field.
  2. Perform technical inspections on all parts returned from the field
  3. Receive incoming material. Verify the part number and quantity of parts being received. Enter the information into the ERP system.
  4. Record and transact shipments returned from the field.
  5. Labeling of material, after inspection, as required.
  6. Pick and pack product for shipment according to standard operating procedures. Ensure the orders are fulfilled with the correct product, right quantity, revisions and lot numbers.
  7. Prepare the appropriate shipping documents.
  8. Analyze shipments and determine best service level and cost based on need. Coordinate shipments and expedited freight, as required.
  9. Maintain compliance in the stockroom and cleaning room. Monitor low inventory balances and notify purchasing, accordingly.
  10. Enter the data for inventory movement transactions into the ERP system.
  11. Participate in inventory and/or cycle counting and reconcile, as required. Maintain accurate field inventory.
  12. Process any return material authorizations to suppliers.
  13. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and cleaning room.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School education
• Prefer 1-2 years experience in Receiving Inspection/warehousing environment
• Prefer 1-2 years domestic and international shipping experience
• Proficiency with personal computers and web based freight programs
• Prefer ERP/MRP experience
• Experience with on line freight processing
• Proficient in Excel
• Detail oriented, good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multi task
• Fluent in English; both verbal and written skills
