Careers \ Industrial Designer II

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

SpineFrontier NOVA Team is seeking an Industrial Designer (Level II) for fulltime employment.  We are adding a team member to fulfill the responsibilities that encompass our NOVATeam.  Among these are the following:

  • Design and Development:
  • Effectively communicate new concept designs through sketches, 2D illustrations, and 3D CAD.
  • Candidate will conduct research, design, and development for multiple design projects including product and user research, concept brainstorms and design, final design refinement in CAD or equivalent
  • Design lead on minor design projects and support projects for other departments

    •  

  • Competitive market research and information re‐organization:
  • Research and contribute to updating the competitive database.
  • Learn about competition, their core technologies, and how it competes with SpineFrontier.

    •  

  • Daily NOVA assistance:
    Candidate will balance design work and outside requests for ongoing project and sales support. Among these are:
  • Building multiple display cases for sales and corporate identity
  • Minor graphic assistance for corporate identity
  • Label graphics for project assistance
  • Etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Industrial Design
  • Industrial Designer with 3-5 years of experience
  • Ability to think creatively and communicate his/her ideas well on paper or screen.
  • Ability to think mechanically and develop designs that create mechanical advantage for the users.
    Experience in the spine device industry is not required. Candidate will develop the knowledge for the industry through his/her experience.
  • Requires a motivated individual that is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in SolidWorks
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is necessary.
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
